Pollen and Plague


Items... haunt, gear, disembowel
Items from death... facts from fear
The light strobed until the blinded saw
The pulse beat until the deaf heard
The items gathered and grew
strengthened in agility and might
items knowing, feeling, growing
the light flashed, burned, and learned
embracing and lifting them higher until
numbers and facts and theories, these items
from the rising to the setting of our moon
items of intensity, religious intensity and hate
fortifying itself against the powerful strobe
they grew and grew, the light knew
sees all, feels all, knows all light
the light understood, and strangest of all

it cared

and no infection could take it down
and no virus could turn it back

the light
